"Wayang Kulit" or Shadow puppets is widely known in Bali for entertainment. "Wayang kulit" is originally from java, but have evolved on this island over the past four hundreds years into its own unique puppets, music and rituals. The Indians epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata provide most of the wayang kulit entertainment . The Balinese puppeteer is called " Dalang" and special ceremonies are held to bless these puppets.
